Stand UP / Stand IN

Stand Up Stand In! shows the human dimension of deportation policies that affect over 4 million families the past 20 years. Our project creates powerful opportunities for acts of empathy during graduation which signifies an important life achievement for immigrant families.

Since President Clinton, we have deported 4.8 million immigrants. Thousands of high school and college students will be graduating knowing at least one person who sacrificed for them could not be there because of deportation.

We are making a family’s act of separation unacceptable by supporting immigrant graduates whose families are deported. We are demonstrating public acts of empathy by recruiting opinion leaders, academia, faith & business leaders to stand in for deported parents of graduates.
